After years of making guitar pickups I've come to the conclusion that most players know exacly what they want. Rather than offer you an array of ever-so-slightly different variations on this classic design I thought it'd be best to let you pick and choose the exact specifications that you need to acheive your perfect sound.

Tapped singlecoils (not to be confused with split humbuckers) have 2 live wires, each offering a different DC resistance output. Attach both these wires to a toggle switch and you'll be able to jump between vintage and vintage-hot tones from your pickup. I allow you to choose the DC resisitance output for both of these settings - I'd recommend around 2kΩ difference between to outputs but you can go for something more subtle or extreme if you like.

These CuNiFe rod magnets are truely unique. They are currently only available in 17.5mm in height so it's not currently possible for the magnets to be arranged in a vintage staggered formation.

Select your coil insulation, DC resistance output for each live connection and level of wax-potting. Please do not allow live 1 + live 2 to exceed 11kΩ without sending a message to ensure it is possible to achieve your spec.

For outputs up to 7.50kΩ 42-awg coil wire will be used. For outputs exceeding 7.50kΩ 43-awg wire will be used. With tapped singlecoils it may be necessary to use 42-awg for the 1st live connection and then swap over to 43-awg for the 2nd live connection.

When selecting your level of wax-potting consider that a light potting means that the wax is kept away from the centre of the coil which will result in enhanced dynamics whereas a full potting soaks the entire coil with wax which will help prevent unwanted feedback when playing at high volume.

This website platform currently only allows me to offer you 6 variables to change so please include a note if you would like to change any of the following features:

• 52mm string spacing for bridge & middle

• 50mm spacing for neck

• To ensure RWRP when ordering multilpe pickups bridge and neck will read south up with anti-clockwise from earth to live, middle pickup will read north up with clockwise from earth to live
