After years of making guitar pickups I've come to the conclusion that most players know exacly what they want. Rather than offer you an array of ever-so-slightly different variations on this classic design I thought it'd be best to let you pick and choose the exact specifications that you need to acheive your perfect sound.
 
Take complete control of your tone by building your perfect modern humbucker. These modern humbuckers will be built using modern short leg baseplates and ABS bobbins.
 
Choose your preferred DC resistance output, magnet material and size, coil wire insulation material, bobbin/cover colour and level of wax-potting for a pickup that is truely one of a kind.
 
For DC resistance outputs up to 8.50kΩ 42-awg coil wire will be used. For outputs exceeding 8.50kΩ 43-awg coil wire will be used.
 
Opting for no wax-potting will produce a more 'organic' sound with enhanced dynamics but will leave the pickup susceptible to mircophonics or unwanted feedback when playing at high volumes. 
 
A light wax-potting means the pickup will be dipped in wax for a maximum of 20 seconds which is enough to coat the outer surfaces and provide some protection against microphonics. 
 
A full wax-potting means the pickup will be dipped in wax for several minutes  in order to provide maximum protection against microphonics.
